Introduction

vSMTP services have access to a limited set of Rhai functions to secure, inspect and filter emails.

To extend the filtering features of each service, vSMTP is shipped with a built-in plugin system to interface with third-party dependencies, like MySQL, Clamav or LDAP databases. Plugins are configured and used in rules using Rhai.

The following sections shows how to install and use those, and lists all plugins with examples and their documented Rhai functions.
